Resumo: Esse artigo apresenta a experiência de um ano e meio de desenvolvimento do projeto de inclusão digital voltado para a terceira idade da comunidade local, com uso intensivo da internet, que objetivou proporcionar novas oportunidades e perspectivas para o aprendizado, com o estímulo da diversidade de serviços da grande rede, para uso em comunicação, pesquisa e lazer. Aproveitando o grande potencial humano e de infra-estrutura da Universidade, este projeto atende as necessidades de inclusão inclusive social do grupo de idosos envolvidos. Os cooperadores envolvidos passaram a valorizar os idosos, aprendendo a respeitar e a conviver com as limitações e dificuldades observadas. Este trabalho se propõe a discutir parte das atividades desenvolvidas, obstáculos encontrados e possíveis implementações para melhorias. Os resultados estão sendo surpreendentes, e superaram as expectativas iniciais, pois não se esperava que um trabalho relativamente simples pudesse trazer tantos benefícios pessoais. Isso ficou comprovado através de dados levantados e relatos de alunos e da equipe de apoio.
Abstract: This article presents the experience, of a year and a half, of an including digital project development aimed to the third age of a local community, with the intensive use of Internet. It had the object to provide the new chances and perspectives for the learning process, focusing the stimulation of services diversity in the whole net, for the use in communication, research and leisure. Using the advantage of the human potential and the University infrastructure, this project takes care of the necessities of aged also social inclusion of the group involved. The involved cooperated had started to value the aged ones, learning to respect and to coexist the limitations and observed difficulties. This work considers discussing part of activities developed, considered obstacles and possible implementations for improvement. The results are being surprising, and had surpassed the initial expectations, therefore it was not expected that a relatively simple work could bring as many personal benefits, this was proven through obtained data and students stories and the support team.
