Simulador para prevenção e mitigação aos riscos de desastres utilizando realidade virtual

Resumo


Abstract: Climate changes are seen as triggering natural disasters and has generated economic, social and environmental problems. Thus, this article aims to presente an application for disaster risks prevention and mitigation, named Pluvia, which allows to relate soil permeability and rainfall intensity. The simulator was tested with 49 students from a basic education municipal public school of SC. The results were promising once the students mostly succeeded in understanding the simulated phenomena. It is concluded that educational products for the prevention and mitigation of disaster risks have the potential to raise the interest of younger generation about this problem.
