Enviar artigo via e-mail DE TUTOR A PROFESSOR ON LINE: QUE SUJEITO É ESSE?
Resumo
Resumo: Atualmente a Educação a Distância (EAD) tem sido um tema bastante discutido, analisado e estudado por pesquisadores do mundo inteiro. Contudo esta modalidade educacional não é nova e ao logo da história vem utilizando diversas tecnologias como mediadoras entre aluno-conhecimento-professor. Inicialmente a EAD utilizou-se de: correspondência, rádio, televisão, videocassete e CD-ROM. Entretanto foi apenas com o desenvolvimento da internet, a partir dos anos 90 do século XX, que a EAD passou a ter a possibilidade de ser mais interativa oportunizando que sujeitos de diferentes lugares do planeta começassem a construir aprendizagens de forma colaborativa. Nesta modalidade educacional muitas vezes o papel do professor passa a ser substituído pelo tutor que acompanha o desenvolvimento das atividades dos alunos em ambientes virtuais de aprendizagens. Desta forma este trabalho pretende discutir: o que significa tutor? Como surgiu o tutor? Será que a sua denominação está correta uma vez que sua função não se restringe apenas a de mero acompanhante das atividades dos alunos? Estes questionamentos foram levantados a partir da experiência desenvolvida no curso on line Educação, Interatividade e Autoria na Cibercultura desenvolvido no ambiente E-Proinfo pelo Núcleo de Tecnologia Educacional NTE 2/Bahia.
Abstract: Distance Education is a theme that is hotly debated, analyzed and studied throughout the world. Nevertheless, this educational modality is not new and over time various technologies have been used as mediators between students, knowledge and teachers. Initially, Distance Education used the mail, radio, television, videocassettes and CD-ROM’s. However, it was only with the development of the Internet in the 1990’s that it became possible for Distance Education to be more interactive and create opportunities for subjects in different parts of the planet to begin to construct education in a collaborative manner. The role of the teacher in this modality is often substituted by a tutor who accompanies the development of student activities in virtual education environments. This study intends to discuss: what is the significance of the tutor? How did this tutor arise? Is this the correct term given that his or her function is not limited to simply accompanying student activities? These questions were raised in the analysis of an experiment undertaken in the on line course Education, Interactivity and Authorship in Cyberculture developed in the E-Proinfo environment by the Nucleus for Education Technology NTE 2/Bahia.
