Escola, conhecimento e mudança: um projeto voltado para o uso significativo e responsável dos recursos da Internet

Resumo: Este artigo é um relato de um projeto que está sendo realizado em uma escola pública de Educação Básica do Rio de Janeiro intitulado: Educação Digital: responsabilidade individual, direito coletivo. O objetivo foi propor aos alunos a produção de exercícios (com o programa Hot Potatoes) e de pequenos vídeos-propaganda (com o Movie Maker) referentes ao uso consciente das informações, ferramentas e serviços disponibilizados na web. Para tanto, os alunos visitaram sites e assistiram a vídeos produzidos por instituições renomadas, assim como tiveram acesso a tutoriais e orientações sobre o uso dos softwares. O projeto foi conduzido por meio de constantes discussões referentes ao tema proposto, partindo sempre dos relatos dos alunos referentes às suas experiências e conhecimentos sobre o uso da internet.
Abstract: This article is a report of a project being conducted in a public school of Basic Education entitled: Digital education: individual responsibility, collective right. The objective was to propose the students the production of exercises (with the Hot Potatoes software) and video advertisements (with Movie Maker) concerning the conscientious use of information, tools and services available on the web. For this propose, the students visited sites and watched videos produced by renowned institutions as well as had access to tutorials and guidelines on the use of the programs. The project was carried through with discussions concerning the theme, starting always with the reports of the students regarding their experiences and knowledge on the use of the Internet.
