Resumo: Este trabalho relata a motivação, a metodologia e os resultados de aplicar um projeto de extensão na Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL), campus Maceió. O público do projeto foi formado por funcionários da firma que presta serviços de segurança patrimonial na Universidade. O objetivo do projeto foi promover a inclusão através da alfabetização digital, sendo o foco o uso de recursos disponíıveis na Internet. Os resultados mostram que o caminho seguido está certo, que a metodologia foi correta e que houve um aproveitamento significativo das novas competências. O curso pode ser ministrado com sucesso em outros campi.
Abstract: This work presents the motivation, methodology and results of a community course lectured at the Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL), Maceió. The attendees were the campus security employees, the purpose was promoting technical literacy by promoting digital proficiency in the use of Internet tools. The results show that the contents and methodology are in accordance with the participants’ expectations, and that the course may be succesfully lectured in other campi.
