Criança Protegida: um jogo para prevenir a violência sexual contra crianças

Maria Rita Carrara, Gustavo Paiva Guedes

Resumo

The number of children and adolescents raped in the year of 2016 has reached 68% of cases reported to the Single Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde), which corresponds to 15,584 cases. Friends, acquaintances, and close relatives (e.g., father, mother, and stepparents) account for more than 60% of offenders. In this scenario, the game-based approach to preventing child sexual abuse can be a good way to educate children and adolescents. In this scenario, the present study proposes a game called Protected Child as a fun and engaging learning tool to combat sexual violence against children and adolescents.
