LERO - An Extensible and Adaptive Remote Lab for Educational Robotics

Resumo


This paper introduces a Remote Laboratory for Educational Robotics (LERO) that aims at supporting the teaching and learning process of Programming and Robotics skills of students at different ages. LERO is a Web-based, adaptable and extensible environment. The term extensible is used to characterize the ability of the system to incorporated programming blocks with new functionalities using the LERO development environment itself. The term adaptable illustrates the feature to serve a diverse audience with varied level of knowledge and experience, both in terms of programming logic and robotics.
