O domínio do assistente proposto é constituído pelas Seções Cônicas: a parábola, a elipse e a hipérbole.
Abstract: This paper describes the development of the module of the domain of an intelligent assistant for Mathematical Education implemented with the tool JESS (Java Expert System Shell) that uses the algorithm RETE and the language Java. The proposed assistant's domain is constituted by the Conical Sections: the parabola, the ellipse and the hyperbole. The modelling of the module of that assistant's domain is described as well as the basic operation of that component in that assistant's interaction with the student. Besides the implementation of the exercises that they constitute the domain, being used the tool JESS, it stands out the solution adopted for the communication among the tools JESS and Java.
