MAQSEI - uma Metodologia de Avaliação de Qualidade de Software Educacional Infantil
Resumo
Resumo: Este artigo apresenta uma Metodologia para Avaliação da Qualidade de Software Educacional Infantil, denominada MAQSEI, e as heurísticas técnicas e pedagógicas que a fundamentam. O estudo envolveu conhecimentos em educação e Engenharia de Usabilidade, que orientaram e forneceram parâmetros metodológicos visando a melhoria de processos de avaliação de software educacional infantil. A metodologia e as heurísticas foram validadas por meio de testes com programas didáticos infantis prontos e em desenvolvimento, em um processo evolutivo, ajustando-as a cada teste. Elas podem ser utilizadas em avaliações formativas, colaborando para que o desenvolvedor descubra defeitos e modificações necessárias no programa, ou em avaliações somativas, com ferramenta de apoio a escolas, pais ou interessados na escolha do software educacional infantil a ser utilizado pelas crianças.
Abstract: This paper presents a methodology for quality evaluation of children’s educational software and the heuristics that support it. The work involved a survey of the literature in Usability and pedagogical studies that guided and gave methodological foundation to improve the process of quality evaluation of children’s educational software. The methodology and the heuristics were validated through tests with children’s didactic programs and through the development of a software product of the same type. The development of them were carried out gradually, elaborating, revising and making improvements as they were used. The methodology and the heuristics can be used in formative evaluations, helping designers to find out problems and necessary modifications in the program, or in summative evaluations, as a support tool for schools, parents or anyone interested in choosing educational software for their children.
