Reengineering of Educational Content: an Experience in the Computer Networks Domain
Resumo
The growing demand for high-quality educational products, capable of better engaging learners and instructors in an active learning process, has pointed out the need for more efficient and productive learning development mechanisms. The IMACID approach address such concerns, defining an integrated approach for modeling educational content. By means of a set of models, IMACID helps the content developers to determine the relevant parts of the knowledge domain, providing a systematic way to structure the concepts and related information. In this paper we summarize the key characteristics of IMACID, and define guidelines for its application, illustrating them in the reengineering of an educational content in the Computer Networks domain.
