Desenvolvendo conceitos algébricos no ensino fundamental com o auxílio de um Objeto de Aprendizagem

Resumo: O presente estudo investigou o desenvolvimento de estratégias utilizadas por alunos de séries iniciais e suas relações com o pensamento algébrico durante a utilização de um Objeto de Aprendizagem (OA) chamado Balança Interativa. A pesquisa foi realizada com dois alunos de 2ª. e 4ª. Série de uma escola pública de Fortaleza. Os pesquisadores realizaram entrevistas clínicas individuais com os alunos enquanto eles usavam o OA. Os resultados obtidos indicam que os alunos utilizam estratégias que ajudam na compreensão de noções algébricas, como por exemplo, igualdade, desigualdade, maior, menor e incógnita.

Abstract: The current study aimed to investigate the development of strategies by K-5 students while using a Learning Object (LO) called Interactive Scale and the relation of these strategies to the algebraic thought. The research was conducted with a 2nd and a 4th grade students of a public school in the city of Fortaleza. The researchers conducted two clinical interviews with the students while they used the LO. Results indicated that students started to develop a series of strategies related the algebraic concepts such as equivalence, inequality, greater, lesser and unknown.
